OK, this site is now going live. Please tread lightly and watch for falling markup as I’m not at all finished with it.

So, yer foisting a sub-standard product on an unsuspecting public! Typical.
Sorry to hear all your old content is in limbo, but that just means yer free! I’d take advantage of it iffin I were you. However, that book credit thing is another matter altogether. Mt advice is to drop the hammer hard on any weasels who can’t get it RIGHT!
Porter, it’s weird, but since yesterday all my Gecko browsers are allowing boxes with 1px borders to “cross” where the bottom and right borders meet, like those two borders were not pushed out quite far enough, but ARE long enough. The upper left corners are fine, but the other two are partially crossed.
It happens on every box with 1px borders, and every gecko version, even a fresh 1.6 version. Nothing fixes it, and other people seem not to have the problem. I’m going nuts trying to figure out what’s causing it! Got a clue?
The content itself isn’t the problem. That I could import just fine. The problem is in trying to match up my permalinks from old to new (not a huge problem) and trying to import the comments from my home-grown commenting system (much more of a hassle).
In all, there’s nothing that I couldn’t do… I just a matter of the reward not justifying the time I’d have to carve out to do it. As I mentioned in the first post here, the old site and its archives will still work for the foreseeable future.
Got a URL? I’m not exactly sure I understand what you’re describing.
Apparently it was my OS, because rebooting fixed it. Funny how all Gecko browsers had the same issue.

Well, as long as it’s gone…
