… riding on the Metro.

Could someone possibly explain the logic behind WMATA, who will ticket and/or arrest you for eating or drinking on the Metro, selling Metro-branded commuter mugs? And not just one, but two!

It’s really just a cheap ploy to create a double stream of income, isn’t it? Get people to buy the mugs and then nail them with tickets for drinking out of them on the train. I’m onto you, WMATA. You couldn’t be satisfied with just raising the rates on us again, could you?

Maybe it’s like those little star stickers that the FOP and Sherrifs are always selling: you’re allowed to drink, but only from their mugs!
